SUMMARY:Wisconsin Bike Fed - Spring Classic Series - Holland to the Cut
DESCRIPTION:Coulee Bicycle Company of Onalaska is teaming up with The Bike Fed and Red Pines Restaurant in Brice Prairie to host a ride through the Town of Holland to the famed Mindoro Cut and back. This is a fun 55 mile ride. For those not familiar\, The Mindoro Cut is over 100 years old and is the second deepest cut built by hand in the Western Hemisphere. We will depart from Red Pines at 1:00 and ride to the top of The Cut after passing through New Amsterdam and Mindoro\, returning part of the way back on the same route in case some riders prefer a shorter alternative. The entire route will be “road marked”. We will have water placed along the route at two locations. Along the way\, we will also enjoy some of the most scenic coulees of the Driftless Region. After the ride\, all are welcome to refuel at The Red Pines Restaurant. Join Julie Evans Diermeier\, David Schlabowske\, Robbie Young and me as we ride our way to happiness! Approximately 100 folks joined us last year. Spread the word!

Our sales counter will be open all weekend\, so make sure to bring a cooler and stock up on some healthy\, great tasting beef for this grilling season. If possible\, we encourage customers to pre-order on our website englewoodgrassfarm.com and we will have your order ready for pickup when you get here (mention pick at the race for 5% discount).\nCamping is $10 for tents and $15 for campers on Friday and Saturday night (onetime fee for either or both nights). New for 2019\, we will be offering premium campsites centrally located within the race grounds for teams to set up\, contact us for pricing and availability.\nPre-riding the course will start at 3 pm Friday and end when the Trail Run begins.

Riders test their skill and endurance on the professionally groomed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail! \nTwo days of fun! Friday\, March 8 – Check out the Fat Bike Birkie EXPO and Fat Bike Demos!  March 9 – Race day and a Post-Race Party in the Great Hall! \nFat Bike Birkie is an Open-Class Bike Race\nThere are no restrictions on the specific tire size allowed. The Birkie groomers are some of the best in the world and have the goal of providing a firm surface to ride on for the races. However\, we cannot control the weather and the course conditions can vary widely\, from hard packed to soft powder. Just like in the Birkie Ski race\, Fat Bike Birkie participants are free to choose different equipment based on the conditions of the course. However\, winter bike riding can be accessed from many of the trailheads utilizing the Chequamegon Area Mountain Bike Association trail system. SUMMARY:Penn Cycle Puoli Fat Tire Loppet
DESCRIPTION:The Penn Cycle Puoli Fat Tire Loppet provides a once-a-year chance to ride your fat tire bike on the groomed Loppet Trail. Fat Tire bikes are otherwise not allowed on the snow covered\, groomed trail system and mountain bikes or other non-fat tire bikes are never allowed. \nLike the Marathon Fat Tire event\, the course starts in Uptown and finishes at Loppet Village in Wirth Park\, but the Puoli course skips some of the toughest riding in between and is only 18K long. \nThe Puoli Fat Tire Loppet generally follows the “red” course – with one deviation. Fat Tire bikes are not allowed in the Eloise Butler quadrant of Wirth Park. DESCRIPTION:Join in the adventure as we once again ride the plowed road across Lake Winnebago – roundtrip of about 20 miles and don’t forget the 250 feet of climb\, if you choose to ride up the hill to Bobbers Bar\, a nice\, warm spot to hydrate and refuel. Free parking at Mahler Park 1536 S Park Ave\, Neenah\, WI\, which is 1.8 miles from Paynes Point Hook & Spear Fishing Club. We plan to gather at the club on the ice for a short pre-ride briefing at 11 am. Although the ride is free\, we encourage all riders to donate $10 or more to Paynes Point at the ride to help with their expenses to plow the ice road.
