SUMMARY:MNMBS #4 - Border Crossing
DESCRIPTION:White Tail Ridge Corporate Park\, River Falls\, Wisconsin \nWe are proud to present the Seventh year of the Border Crossing. \nThe White Tail Ridge course will again challenge every type of rider. With a great mix of fast-flowing single track\, roots and rocks\, fast downhill sections\, wide open fields\, leg scorching climbs and our own signature elevated wooden berm. Whitetail Ridge is fast-becoming a Twin Cities favorite for riders looking for an ever-evolving challenge. Each race course is tailored to meet the ability level of racers\, yet pose a challenge to keep things interesting. Whether it’s a leg-churning climb or fun flowing downhill you crave\, the trails at Whitetail Ridge will serve up something for everyone. \nThe race has evolved over the past years into a great community fund-raising campaign in which the local mountain bike club\, Kinnickinnic Off-Road Cyclists (KORC) use 100% of the race proceeds to either build and maintain new trails at Whitetail Ridge along with promoting other mountain biking opportunities in the Twin Cities metro and St. Croix River Valley. \nThere will be rough on-site camping for those that wish to stay at the venue for the weekend and there are also a few great hotels very close by. River Falls and Hudson have an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars.

SUMMARY:WORS Red Flint Firecracker
DESCRIPTION:The first Firecracker was held in 2005 and we’ve been welcoming racers every year since.  CORBA (Chippewa Off Road Bike Association) remains hard at work to bring you some of the best racing in Wisconsin. We utilize this event as one of our primary fund raisers\, which allows us to continue trail development on no less than TEN  trail systems in the region. Your participation is a big part of making these trails happen\, so thank you! \nThe Firecracker weekend has plenty in store for you. On Friday you can set up camp\, pre-ride and then grab some delicious wood-fired pizza onsite from the Foster’s Cheese Haus Fire Truck. Saturday brings you course pre-rides\, our popular All-You-Can-Eat pasta feed (a fund-raiser for McDonnell High School cross country team) and s’mores by the bonfire. \nRace day kicks off with an amazing All-You-Can-Eat breakfast buffet (fundraiser) that will be sure to fuel you up. Post-race\, grab some snacks in the Racer Lounge or hit up our concession stand\, available all day Sunday. We’ll also have coffee and snow cones for sale onsite Sunday. One thing we boast is “spectator-friendly” viewing areas. There are many sections of trail just a short walk from the Eau Claire County Expo and let’s not forget about the return of the Red Flint Brew View\, our on-course beer tent! \nAre you a runner? Our singletrack makes for an invigorating run. You can choose between a 5K or 10K distance. Better yet\, do the run and then the mountain bike race! \nNot racing? We are always in need of volunteers\, who also receive a swag bag PLUS a t-shirt! Please be sure to watch the CORBA website and our Facebook page for course updates and race enhancements that are still in progress. This Firecracker is always a blast!! \nAll race proceeds go directly to CORBA\, a 501c3 non-profit organization. CORBA builds and maintains the trails you are riding. A special thank you goes out to Lowes Creek County Park for their support of mountain biking and CORBA.

SUMMARY:WORS Mt. Morris Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Featuring rolling hills\, flowing singletrack and ripping downhills WORS and the Waushara Area Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) present the Mount Morris Challenge at the Nordic Mountain ski area. The trail work at Nordic began in spring\, 2006 with shovels and rakes. WORS Director\, Don Edberg and Dave Reich along numerous other volunteers logged approximately 1000 man hours over two summers to construct the original 5-mile loop and the first WORS race on the trail was held in August of 2007. As the trails developed\, the site hosted regional championships and multiple national Pro XCT events. \nWith annual trail expansion\, course designers can now tailor course design to each WORS category providing challenge and fun for all.  WAMBA was established in 2011 to build and maintain trails in and around Waushara County. The Nordic trails are the focus of mountain biking in the Fox Valley and WAMBA encourages the use of the trails free of charge all season long. For trail information follow us on Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/WausharaAreaMountainBikeAssociation/ \nAnyone interested in more information about recreational opportunities\, lodging\, dining\, area attractions and upcoming events in Waushara County should visit  www.wausharatourism.com or www.wausharachamber.com.

SUMMARY:WORS Battle of CamRock
DESCRIPTION:Capital Off Road Pathfinders\, CORP has partnered with Loft & Shove to bring you the premiere WORS event of 2019.  Loft & Shove is a MTB race team that is working to create the best experience possible for all in attendance.  This is not a typical WORS event; it is so much more than that and it starts with *UNIQUE RACE START TIMES*.  CORP is working to build CamRock Park into one of the true gems of Wisconsin mountain biking. CORP is an IMBA-affiliated volunteer organization that builds and maintains all of the off-road cycling trails in and around Dane County. \nLoft & Shove is creating a race to remember.  Not only will the Battle of CamRock have unique race start times\, we will also have music\, inflatable play areas for the kids\, lots of food and large cash prizes for all classes and other big time prizes including a bike give away to one of the Citizen\, Sport or Comp overall podium winners. We have a great race course and a separate race course just for the kids all within a festival atmosphere at beautiful CamRock County Park. Bring the family and prepare for a day of fun for all. Or come for the pre-ride and Saturday festivities and make a weekend of it with onsite camping or lodging right in town. \nThe trail system at CamRock is an awesome blend of wide and fast flowing single-track that runs through open fields of prairie grass\, wooded single-track with bermed turns and more technical singletrack with a touch of roots and rocks. The Battle of CamRock will be fun and challenging for all levels\, Citizen to Elite\, with fun single-track\, great downhill\, feed zones and\, of course\, the sprint to the finish.

SUMMARY:WORS Iola Bump and Jump
DESCRIPTION:The Iola Bump and Jump race course evolves a little each year based on racer input\, rider and spectator safety\, and the condition of individual sections of the track. However\, the overall character that makes this course a favorite of many remains constant. The start loop that takes racers up and around the back side of Iola’s 40 & 60 meter ski jumps and then drops back down past the lodge into the jump bowl may be the best lead-out in all of WORS.  In addition\, several minor singletrack modifications have been made to improve the racing experience for all.  For the youngest novice racers\, the Bump & Jump’s Kids Race course provides an opportunity for them to expand their skills. \nWith the start and finish areas near the ski jumping bowl\, the Bump and Jump offers spectators many fantastic opportunities to view their favorite riders.  A post-race spaghetti dinner will be provided free of charge to all racers by the Iola Winter Sports Club\, with other concessions available in the ski chalet.

SUMMARY:Ridin' for RhizoKids
DESCRIPTION:#berelentless \nStarted in 2017 Ridin’ for RhizoKids is an organization dedicated to raising awareness of the genetic disorder\, Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata (RCDP).  We exist to raise funds for clinical trials and research to find a cure for these sweet children.\n  \nOUR MISSION\nRidin’ for RhizoKids originally started as a 10 day 100 mile virtual bicycle ride for RCDP which is done on your own time and at your location all over the world.  It has now become a “circus of exercise” with people road biking\, mountain biking\, doing Peloton\, stationary biking\, walking\, running\, hiking\, swimming as well as other types of exercise.  Our participants think in terms of 100 miles in 10 days or maybe 100 minutes in 10 days as there are less than 100 children afflicted with this genetic disorder known as Rhizomelic Chondrodysplasia Punctata. \nAll contributions go directly to RhizoKids International and are tax deductible plus you receive a “cool” looking t-shirt! \n  \nhttps://www.facebook.com/ridinrhizokids/ \nhttps://www.ridinforrhizokids.com/
