SUMMARY:WORS Treadfest
DESCRIPTION:The TREADHEAD’S are very excited to once again have TREADFEST as the Grand Finale of WORS 2019! The TREADHEAD’S have worked tirelessly to add features to the course and events to make TREADFEST even better. The new features in the TREADZONE last year made for a great place for spectators to see their rider go by several times. \nTREADFEST offers one of the tougher courses on the WORS circuit. The course has plenty of climbing and lots of single track broken up by sections for passing. The course is laid out with three different loops depending on the ability of the race so that everyone can have fun no matter what their ability is. TREADFEST has activities for riders and families including: a consumer expo\, WORS Learn to Race Clinic\, TREADFEST Kids Race\, tasty food and drink on site\, TREADFEST T-shirts and all the weekend fun in beautiful Lake Geneva! \nThe venue for TREADFEST is the beautiful Mountain Top at the Grand Geneva Resort and Spa. This property is the original Playboy Club Hotel and today boasts two championship golf courses\, spa\, fitness center\, indoor and outdoor tennis\, and an indoor and outdoor waterpark. The Mountain Top at The Grand Geneva Resort is now open all season for mountain bike riding and disc golf. Check out their website for more information. \nIn addition to TREADFEST\, TREADHEAD Cycling (THC) strives to give riders an exciting environment to explore the joys of riding a bike. TREAD stands for Training – Riding – Education – Advocacy – Diversity. THC is a non-profit bicycle group that aims to give the TREADHEAD spirit back to the roads and trails through bicycle advocacy involvement. The TREADHEAD’s are excited to partner with My Team Triumph and helped to create a chapter in Lake Geneva! (http://myteamtriumph-wi.org/) We welcome all riders to join TREADHEAD Cycling for our mountain and road rides as well as many other TREADHEAD events throughout the year. Please check www.treadheadcycling.com for details\, our list of sponsors and our ride calendar. All are welcome!

You can decide in Dakota what you feel like doing.\n\n\n \n\n\nhttps://www.ridespot.org/rides/107442\n\n  \nWant to learn some road routes around the area? Scared to ride in traffic? Need help learning how and when to shift? Just want to ride with other people? Join us on our Beginners Road Ride on Tuesday nights. Meet at Smith’s at 6:00 (unless otherwise noted). \nRides will require a level of fitness to maintain a minimum of 12mph; average speed will be 15/16mph. These rides are no drop. SUMMARY:WORS Reforestation Ramble
DESCRIPTION:Fast\, fluid\, and fresh routes define the 2019 Refo Ramble. The same blast off start and shady kids course will be back in 2019. \nThe course will be revealed at the noon pre-ride. Expect a fun mix of flowy single and double track for passing on sections of the fast draining sand hill terrain. No pre-riding during course marking for safety reasons! Don’t miss the Vendor/Exhibitor Zone with Pete’s Garage and Learn to Race clinics. \nTrail runs are back in the morning on Sunday for a workout with a post-race coffee or beer refresher. In fact the most popular individual at the race may be the one tapping for Hinterland Brewery as the sponsor’s beer flows for finishers. \nAshwaubenon Nordic Ski Team (ANST) is happy to host this event again. We fundraise for trail repair and improvement for summer bike use and more than match the dollars with skier sweat equity. Proud to welcome remarkable local company MCL as a sponsor. They’re hiring … see the ad. \nCome out for the Stump Farm Trail Races held at the Camp on Sunday\, October 27. Trails are leaf blown for an exceptional fall ride. The event includes foot racing a sweet 10 mile or a wide trail 5K for a social workout loved by running friend groups and families. Use WORSREFO as a promo code to save $5 on your online registration. \nGentle reminders … Brown County looks for trail fees from all riders and you can expect to be checked on Saturday. This $5 (cash only) fee is not included in your WORS race entry. Passes available at the WORS tent\, in lodge during registration or at the trailhead. Show us your season or daily trail pass at registration for a ticket for free coffee or beer! \nFor camping\, call Tiffany at the Pulaski Village Office\, 920-822-5182\, to check availability. Parking is at a premium. Vehicles can utilize only one space on race day with overhang on the median for trailers/shorter RVs. Long pull through spots are first come\, first served. The park is carry in and carry out garbage. Be responsible\, be clean! \nLike the Facebook Event Page for promos\, info\, updates and race photos.

SUMMARY:WORS Hixon Forest Epic
DESCRIPTION:Forest Epic organizers and the City of La Crosse are excited to host the 8th event in the 28th year of Wisconsin Off Road Series racing. Hixon Forest is over 800 acres of bluffland overlooking the Mississippi River Valley in the heart of the Driftless Region–La Crosse\, Wisconsin. \nIn the early 1900’s\, a group of citizens including members of the Hixon family raised funds to purchase area blufflands to save them from additional quarrying and logging. Soon after deeds were exchanged\, the lands were donated to the City for preservation and recreation. In modern times\, the City of La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department works with local organizations to build and maintain world class trails and facilities for hiking\, snowshoeing\, skiing\, and mountain biking. \nThe  City of La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department’s mission is to enrich our community through stewardship of the environment and through provision of quality recreation\, facilities\, and fun.  Bringing the WORS races to La Crosse matches the mission and puts our city on the map as a mountain bike destination.  Funds are aggressively reinvested into our trail network in an effort to always be improving on our excellent opportunities for riding. \nEveryone is invited to live it up in La Crosse on Saturday for the pre-ride\, then venture into our historic city and explore.  Those choosing to make their bed upon the bluffs are invited to a summertime night ride on the trails and a late night pump track jam session. \nThe day of the event\, excitement kicks off with the Hixon Forest Frolic 5K. The popular Kids Race means you better bring your children along for fun\, and bring your appetite because local food trucks and craft beer vendors will be filling your plates and your pints! \nFor event updates\, “Like Us” on Facebook at HixonForestEpic or visit www.hixonforestepic.com

With a great mix of fast-flowing single track\, roots and rocks\, fast downhill sections\, wide open fields\, leg scorching climbs and our own signature elevated wooden berm.
